Rural heating professionals in Scotland can upskill in heat pump technology for £250 through the BPEC Heat Pump Systems course, supported by the Scottish Government's Heat Pump Skills Fund.
The reduced fee is designed to make training more affordable and accessible for people working in remote and rural areas, as Scotland moves towards cleaner heating and more households and businesses choose heat pumps.
To help meet rising demand for qualified installers, the Energy Saving Trust's Green Heat Installer team is partnering with South Lanarkshire College to deliver subsidised training via a mobile heat pump training centre. This brings practical, hands-on learning to parts of the country with limited or no local provision.
By lowering costs and taking training to where it is needed, the programme helps rural heating professionals develop new skills, remain competitive and make the most of opportunities in a growing sector. Details on eligibility and how to apply are available on the Energy Saving Trust website.
