Scotland's cerebral palsy football team has secured the backing of DM Hall, a leading independent chartered surveying firm in Scotland, as the squad prepares for the upcoming Cerebral Palsy World Cup in Atlanta.
The firm's contribution goes towards a fundraising campaign aimed at covering the team's travel, accommodation, and preparation expenses. This sponsorship aligns with DM Hall's ongoing commitment to investing in impactful community causes throughout Scotland.
Preparation for the prestigious tournament has already seen the Scottish national squad undergo intensive training, including recent pivotal training camps held in the United States.
National squad member, Will Graham, said: "For me it's been amazing. Stuff like this doesn't come around very often and being here is just life‑changing – something you'll tell your kids about.
"It's such a great opportunity for me and the rest of the boys, and I can't wait for my family to come out and see it later in the year.
"Playing against some of the best teams in the world will be brilliant. I've worked so hard for the last two years and I just can't wait."
The partnership holds a personal connection for the firm, as Will's father, Steven Graham, is a Partner and residential property surveyor working out of DM Hall's Oban office.
Steven said: "the journey to this point had been particularly significant given the challenges Will has faced. He has had to overcome a number of health challenges over the years, so to see him reach this level and represent Scotland is incredibly special.
"This is an exciting opportunity not just for him but for the whole squad, and we're immensely proud of what they have achieved and what lies ahead."
Finances raised through this initiative are vital to helping the players access international tournaments and fostering the ongoing growth of the sport across the country. While DM Hall maintains corporate partnerships with major charities such as Homeless Project Scotland and SAMH (Scottish Action for Mental Health), this latest sponsorship highlights the company's dedication to backing initiatives that have personal significance for its staff.
Stephanie Stewart, Marketing Manager at DM Hall, said: "We are proud to support Scotland's cerebral palsy football team as it prepares for the World Cup.
"We wish the team every success and are delighted to play a small part in supporting their journey to the global stage."
The Scotland squad is continuing to raise funds ahead of the tournament, with supporters encouraged to contribute to help the players represent their country on the international stage. Further information on the team and competition is available via official Scotland CP football website.
