Energy group outlines strong 2025/26 performance and a £33bn plan to 2030 focused on network upgrades and the net zero transition across the UK and Ireland.
SSE has published its Annual Report 2026 alongside its Sustainability Report 2026, detailing robust results over the past financial year and a record £3.6bn invested in 2025/26.
The reports set out progress against financial objectives while describing how the company is meeting its social and environmental responsibilities, advancing the shift to a cleaner energy system across the UK and Ireland.
The £3.6bn of capital expenditure in 2025/26 prioritised strengthening the UK's electricity networks, enabling greater electrification, and measures designed to help reduce customer bills over time. This spend forms part of SSE's £33bn five-year programme to 2030, with a primary emphasis on expanding and reinforcing the electricity network in the north of Scotland.
SSE also highlights its wider contribution, including support for the UK and Ireland's clean-energy goals, the economic value it creates, the communities it serves and its workforce—underlining its role in long-term, sustainable growth.
Together, the Annual Report and Sustainability Report reaffirm SSE's commitment to investing in infrastructure that delivers tangible benefits for customers while supporting society and the environment.
