On Friday 15 May, Clark Contracts staged its 14th annual Spring Classic cycling event at Loch Katrine, generating £3,000 for its nominated charity, Scottish Action for Mental Health (SAMH).

The event drew over 50 cyclists from across the construction sector to a 30-mile loop around the loch.

In sunny conditions, riders faced two competitive sections: a three-mile Category 3 hill climb at Dukes Pass and a three-mile time trial at Loch Chon. After the timed efforts, participants regrouped at Stronachlachar for refreshments ahead of the prize-giving.

Awards were handed out for Best Hill Climb, Best Time Trial, Best Overall Woman, Best Overall Man and Best Overall Team, recognising standout performances by individuals and teams.

Following the ceremony, riders completed the final stretch along the north of Loch Katrine and returned to Trossachs Pier.

Chris Docherty, Account Manager from SAMH said: "Congratulations to Clark Contracts on delivering another successful Spring Classic and well done to everyone who took part. As their 14th annual event, it has become a key fundraising fixture, and we're incredibly grateful for the continued support. Contributions like this help SAMH reach more people and support mental health across Scotland."

Gordon Cunningham, Managing Director of Clark Contracts, added: "Our Spring Classic has now reached its 14th year and has become a well-established fixture in both our fundraising programme and the wider construction industry calendar. It is not only an important opportunity to raise vital funds for mental health initiatives, but also a valued networking event that brings together colleagues from across the sector, having taken part over the years."
