CBRE has supported Buchan Offshore Wind's relocation to 3,733 sq ft of offices at Ediston's upgraded 70 Wellington Street in Glasgow, aligning the move with the company's ongoing expansion in Scotland's renewable energy sector.

The decision underscores the firm's commitment to Glasgow, with the city's strong transport links, skilled workforce and proximity to key energy and engineering networks central to the choice of location.

Located in the heart of the central business district, 70 Wellington Street has been comprehensively redeveloped to deliver high-quality, fully fitted workspace alongside shared amenities, including breakout areas and modern meeting facilities designed for today's occupiers.

Ediston has invested £3.5 million in the refurbishment, overhauling the reception, basement wellness facilities and ground-floor lounge, and creating a range of fully fitted office suites to provide a premium working environment.

Clare Lavelle, Project Director at Buchan Offshore Wind, said: "Relocating from nearby to 70 Wellington Street allows us to stay in a thriving area of the city centre that works well for us, with the transport links and wide range of amenities on the doorstep being consistently valued by our staff."

She added: "Our new workplace, with its balance of office, meeting and social space provides the right environment to support collaborative working and, as our pioneering wind farm project develops, positions us well for the continued growth of our team."

The new base will serve as a central hub for project delivery, stakeholder engagement and supply-chain collaboration, supporting both onshore and offshore activity as the development progresses.

Sarah Hagen, Director at CBRE, said: "Working closely with Buchan Offshore Wind, our priority was to find a workplace that reflects both their immediate needs and future ambitions. 70 Wellington Street offered the right balance, delivering high-quality space in a well-connected location which will support their continued growth within Scotland's offshore wind sector as they continue to expand."

Andy McKinlay, Chairman of Ediston, said: "On behalf of Clydebuilt, we are pleased to welcome Buchan Offshore Wind to 70 Wellington Street. This letting underlines the sustained demand for premium, fully-fitted office space in Glasgow city centre and reflects the growing momentum behind the offshore wind sector as a key driver of economic growth."

The transaction reflects a broader trend of occupiers prioritising high-quality, centrally located workspace, with Glasgow city centre remaining a prime destination for expanding businesses across Scotland's energy sector.

Buchan Offshore Wind joins other tenants at 70 Wellington Street including Thompsons Solicitors, IT Levy & McRae and Planet DDS.

CBRE and Ryden are joint letting agents for 70 Wellington Street.
