Bancon Group has unveiled a series of high-level leadership appointments designed to support the business as it moves into its next period of growth. The move highlights the group's strategic focus on increasing land acquisition for both private and affordable housing, scaling up its timber frame manufacturing capabilities, and accelerating its retrofit services.

Andrew Tweedie has been promoted to chief executive officer, moving up from his former role as the company's chief financial officer. Mr Tweedie is credited with having a strong combination of financial expertise, strategic insight, and a deep understanding of the business operations, which will be central to guiding the firm's future direction.

In line with this management transition, executive chair Bob McAlpine will move to a non-executive chair position. In this new capacity, he will maintain his support for the leadership team while ensuring robust governance at the board level.

Jamie Tosh retains his responsibilities as managing director for the private homes, land-led affordable, and retrofit divisions. He will also join the main board, serving alongside Mr McAlpine, Mr Tweedie, and the group's shareholders. David Crawford remains the managing director of Deeside Timberframe, where he will continue to oversee the growth and development of the timber frame business.

Further strengthening the leadership structure, James Adamson has been promoted to group finance director and will join the operating board. Additionally, Kate Dick has been appointed as finance director for homes and construction.

Based in Banchory, the Bancon Group currently employs 250 people and brings over 50 years of industry experience. The firm integrates its in-house timber frame expertise with construction and housebuilding to focus on the delivery of sustainable homes and communities.
