Sureserve Secures Contracts With Ayrshire Housing Associations

Ayrshire Housing, Shire Housing Association and Atrium Homes have jointly awarded Sureserve Energy Services a five-year contract to run a shared reactive maintenance service across their homes, with an option to extend for a further two years.

The three associations have formed a partnership to improve response times, share best practice and enhance the quality of day-to-day repairs for tenants. Under the agreement, Sureserve Energy Services will manage the Reactive Maintenance Contracts for all three organisations.

Sureserve has a proven track record in Ayrshire, having delivered a high-performing reactive maintenance service to Shire Housing Association over the past four years, meeting all targets and achieving strong customer satisfaction, while also supporting Atrium on reactive and major works for several years.

'We are delighted to be joining our partners in providing a new reactive repairs service for our tenants, Sureserve's performance for Shire and Atrium has been exceptional and they are now bringing their expertise and professionalism to serve our customers too. Tenants have been telling us that they want a high quality, customer centred service and I'm confident Sureserve will deliver,' said Ayrshire Housing Chief Executive, Lesley-Anne Junner.

'They have the right balance of value for money, experience and a track record in delivering a successful service.' said Lesley-Anne Junner.

Ayrshire Housing said the new arrangement places timely, effective and "right first time" repairs at its core. 'Following on from feedback from our customers about their desire for a quick and effective repairs service, we are looking forward to working with Sureserve who share our values in relation to customer excellence and excellent communication,' added Lesley-Anne.

The partners say the joint approach should deliver economies of scale, improving value for tenants' money and potentially creating local employment opportunities.

Atrium Homes Chief Executive, Shannon Watson, said: 'Repairs are a really important part of the day-to-day service that we offer to our tenants and so we must deliver work that meets our customers' expectations. We are pleased that by collaborating with our partner organisations in Ayrshire, we have been able to secure a comprehensive repairs contract with Sureserve.

'Sureserve is a trusted and experienced contractor, and we are pleased that, by working together with our partner landlords, we have secured a contractor which will provide a dedicated operational base in Ayrshire, demonstrating a commitment to the area and ensuring a locally focused service for our tenants.'

Shire Housing Association Chief Executive, Jim Munro said: 'Shire Housing Association was delighted to work collaboratively with Ayrshire Housing, and Atrium Homes to agree this new repairs' service. Sureserve Energy Services has provided a high-quality service to Shire tenants since 2022, and we look forward to continuing to work with them delivering an excellent service to our tenants.'
