A significant refurbishment of Livingston Skate Park has gotten underway, delivered by a specialist skate-park contractor, to keep the facility safe and fully functional for years to come.
To facilitate the works, the entire skate park and its associated car park will be shut and fenced off until the end of May. The timing has been set to start after the school Easter holidays and finish before the summer break.
The programme will mainly involve re-pouring damaged and worn concrete, repairing cracks, and sealing and polishing the surface.
For public safety, the site will be secured with Heras fencing, security towers and CCTV. Please note that any unauthorised access during the works is unsafe and will be reported to the police.
Alternative facilities:
- Free parking is available at the Terrace Car Park, just west of Howden South Road.
- Heatherbank Park, Ladywell (EH54 6UG) for the nearest skate park.
- Parkhead Recreational Ground, West Calder (EH55 8AH) for the nearest concrete bowl skate park.
