AGS Airports has appointed professional services firm WSP and architectural practice Pascall + Watson as design partners for the next phase of its AGS Reimagined transformation programme, a long‑term strategy to create modern, sustainable and passenger‑focused airports across Aberdeen, Glasgow and Southampton.

Following a competitive tender, WSP has been named lead development designer for Southampton Airport. For Glasgow Airport, WSP will work alongside Pascall + Watson Architects to deliver the terminal design transformation, a core priority within AGS's £350 million capital plan.

The design work will set the future layout, circulation and overall passenger experience at both airports, aligning facilities with the needs of travellers, airline partners and the regions they serve.

At Southampton, WSP's scope covers full architectural and engineering services across key disciplines, including structural design, fire safety and ventilation. In Glasgow, the combined team will focus on reimagining the terminal to create more intuitive, efficient spaces for customers.

The design phase advances AGS's wider transformation, backed by the group's largest capital commitment since its formation in 2014. The programme will modernise Glasgow Airport's main terminal, upgrade Southampton's terminal facilities, deliver retail transformation at Aberdeen, enhance airfield infrastructure across all three airports, and accelerate AGS's ambition to achieve net zero direct emissions by 2035.

Together, these projects sit at the heart of AGS Reimagined, which brings modern design, sustainability and regional identity to the forefront to deliver better outcomes for passengers, partners and local communities.
