Gas distribution company SGN is currently progressing with a vital upgrade of the gas network along East High Street in Forfar.
The project, which commenced on Monday 6 April, is expected to take approximately two weeks to complete and forms a key part of the ongoing effort to modernise the town's energy infrastructure.
To allow the works to proceed safely, a four-way road closure remains in effect at the junction of East High Street, North Street, and South Street. A clearly signed local diversion route is in place for the duration of the project. Motorists are advised to continue planning their journeys in advance and to allow for additional travel time while these restrictions are active.
SGN has engaged with local stakeholders regarding the project and remains committed to minimising disruption as the work continues. Recognising the importance of East High Street as a primary route through the town, the company has expressed its thanks to residents, businesses, and road users for their ongoing patience during these essential improvements.
