The works will focus on mixed-tenure areas across Croft Street, Huddersfield Street, Greenbank Street, Galabank Street, and Hill Street.

The planned enhancements are designed to improve the functionality and appearance of the local environment. The scope of the landscaping project includes:

– New storage solutions for bins, bikes, prams, and similar items

– Improvements to drying greens

– Surfacing improvements and new planting

Initial site checks began on Monday 30th March, with full construction activities now underway. The entire programme of works is expected to be completed by August 2026.

To ensure clear communication with the community, SBHA and P1 Solutions are hosting an open drop-in session on Wednesday 8th April. Residents are invited to attend the session between 12 noon and 3 pm at the P1 Solutions site office located on Galabank Street. This event offers an opportunity to meet the project team, review the proposed designs, and raise any specific questions or concerns regarding the scheduled works.

In addition to the landscaping, SBHA has proposed the installation of Martec door entry systems and the replacement of external curtain screens for selected blocks. Residents in the affected buildings will receive further updates before these specific security and structural works begin.
