Lichfields has moved its Edinburgh operations to a new, larger office at Caledonian Exchange to accommodate the firm's increasing presence in Scotland. The new 1,800 sq ft facility is 56% larger than the consultancy's previous base, providing enhanced workspace and collaborative areas designed to facilitate further staff recruitment.

The relocation follows a decade of consistent growth for the Edinburgh office, which originally launched in 2015 with a team of three. Having celebrated its 10th anniversary last year, the office continues to expand its headcount, recently adding several graduate planners to its ranks.

The Edinburgh team currently manages a diverse range of projects across Scotland, stretching from the Orkney Islands to Dumfries and Galloway, including the central belt and Aberdeenshire. Their current workload involves supporting land promoters and housebuilders with Local Development Plans ahead of the May 2028 deadline, alongside advising on retail, tourism, and renewable energy schemes, such as battery energy storage projects.

Nicola Woodward, head of Lichfields' Edinburgh office, said: "We are very proud of the success we have had for clients in Scotland over the past 10 years and this move to larger premises reflects the continued growth of the team here in Edinburgh. The office also provides ongoing support to major fast-food operators navigating the National Planning Framework 4 (NPF4) and is advising the HM Government of Gibraltar on its new development plan.
