Cruden Homes Shortlisted For Prestigious Homes For Scotland Awards

Cruden Homes has secured a spot on the shortlist for the upcoming Homes for Scotland Awards. The company's King's View development, situated in the southside of Glasgow, has been nominated in the Private Developer of the Year - Medium category.

This nomination highlights the highest standards of residential development and placemaking within the Scottish homebuilding industry. King's View, located only two miles from the centre of Glasgow, is a key component of the long-term regeneration project in Toryglen. Cruden has constructed nearly 400 homes at this site over the last ten years, playing a vital role in evolving the district into a flourishing residential hub.

The most recent phase of the project features modern two and three-bedroom semi-detached and terraced houses. These properties are constructed to the Glasgow Gold Standard and include sustainable technology, such as air-source heat pumps, to promote energy-efficient living.

Beyond the success of King's View, Cruden has also earned a nomination in the Affordable Development of the Year category. This recognition is for Phases 4 and 5 at West Craigs in Edinburgh, a project delivered in collaboration with the Wheatley Group. These dual nominations underscore the company's versatility in delivering both affordable and private housing solutions.

Fraser Lynes, CEO at Cruden, said: "We are delighted that King's View has been shortlisted for this year's Homes for Scotland Awards.

"King's View has been a significant development for our team over the past decade, and it's incredibly rewarding to see the positive impact the regeneration has had in Toryglen.

"The shortlist recognition reflects the hard work of our team and partners, as well as the strong demand we have seen from buyers who are drawn to the quality of the homes and the location."

The Homes for Scotland Awards serve as a celebration of excellence throughout the national housebuilding sector. The final winners are set to be revealed during an awards ceremony at the EICC in Edinburgh on Friday 15 May.
