Ground investigation works will take place on the A82 north of Onich from Monday 9 March, BEAR Scotland has announced. Undertaken on behalf of Transport Scotland, the works will run between 8am and 6pm and are expected to be completed by Tuesday 10 March.

To ensure the safety of the workforce and the travelling public, two-way temporary traffic lights will be in use for the duration of the works and will be removed outwith working hours.

Access for emergency services and scheduled bus services will be maintained throughout. BEAR Scotland said it has consulted relevant stakeholders in advance to outline the traffic management arrangements and minimise inconvenience.

Michael Baxter, BEAR Scotland's North West Improvements Scheme Manager, said: "The ground investigation works on the A82 north of Onich will aid the design of the forthcoming reconstruction and strengthening of the cycleway.

"Our teams will carry out these works safely and efficiently. We thank the local community and road users for their patience while we complete the improvements."
