A major £1.2 million refurbishment programme has been successfully completed at Glebe Court in Kingussie, marking a significant milestone in the modernisation of the Highland housing development.

The extensive works were designed to overhaul the site's infrastructure, ensuring the buildings meet contemporary energy efficiency and safety standards.

Constructed in 1983, Glebe Court is one of Hanover Scotland's earliest rural developments. The recent capital investment focused on future-proofing the site to provide warm and sustainable accommodation for the coming decades.

The technical scope of the project involved a comprehensive renewal of the roof coverings across the primary building and five adjacent bungalows. Further structural improvements included the installation of high-performance insulation and a complete architectural redesign of the communal lounge ceiling. These specific modifications were engineered to dramatically enhance the thermal performance of the development.

The renovation was delivered by main contractor Abbeymill Homes, with professional support from Quantity Surveyor and Principal Designer Brown & Wallace. Project management for the upgrade was overseen by Mark Esslemont of Graham + Sibbald.
