Ogilvie Construction has completed a new purpose-built student residence at Haymarket Yards in Edinburgh, delivering 156 modern studio apartments.
The seven-storey scheme offers an extensive range of amenities to support student life, including dedicated study areas, a fully equipped gym, a cinema room and a private dining space. Outside, residents can enjoy a roof terrace and shared gardens, providing a mix of communal and private areas.
Designed as a zero-parking development, the project prioritises sustainable urban living and provides secure storage for 150 bicycles. Its central position within Edinburgh's transport hub gives quick access to Haymarket station, as well as nearby tram and bus services.
The building employs contemporary construction techniques, combining primary structural steel with a light gauge steel frame and composite concrete slab panels. Externally, the walls are finished in brick and curtain walling.
Donald MacDonald, Managing Director, Ogilvie Construction, said: "We are proud to complete this first-class building. Haymarket Yards represents our fourteenth student accommodation facility delivered in recent years, demonstrating our continued commitment to and expertise in this sector. The building will provide an excellent living environment for students at the heart of Edinburgh."
Ogilvie Construction is part of the Ogilvie Group, one of Scotland's most consistently successful family-owned businesses. The company has been operating for over 65 years and employs around 600 people across its UK operations.
