CCG has begun the penultimate phase of its multi‑year, multi‑million‑pound fire door replacement programme at Logan Tower in Cambuslang, South Lanarkshire.
Working on behalf of South Lanarkshire Council since 2022, the firm has been installing fire doors across multiple multi‑storey properties in the region.
The start of works at Logan Tower comes shortly after the successful completion of three further high‑rise blocks in the town.
Wyler Heights in Hamilton is the final building scheduled for upgrades, with work due to commence in the spring.
By the time the £10m programme concludes in mid‑2026, it will have covered more than 1,700 residences and nearly 4,000 door sets.
Jim Cunningham, CCG Asset Management Manager, said: "The South Lanarkshire Council Fire Door Replacement Programme is by far and away the largest individual supply and fit project CCG has ever taken on. While we are not at its end yet, to have reached this stage is a key milestone for us, and we are incredibly thankful to the Council for the support they have sustained since the very beginning three years ago."
CCG manufactures its fire door sets at its headquarters using advanced facilities, with engineered timber for the door leaf and redwood timber for the frame.
Fire‑rated ironmongery and intumescent strips are fitted to meet certification and performance requirements, and all paintwork is applied robotically.
Across South Lanarkshire's multi‑storey blocks, installations include a mix of flat entrance, accessible entrance and common access doors, plus all common store doors, each offering up to 60 minutes of fire resistance. The Q‑Mark certified products improve safety for residents and emergency responders while also enhancing security.
Jim Cunningham continued: "Our one-stop-shop supply-and-fit service offers clients such as South Lanarkshire Council – and their tenants – the assurance of a single, accountable chain of responsibility. Fire doors are installed with the core aim of safeguarding lives, and our priority will always be to deliver our products both swiftly and to the highest quality standards, ensuring residents can feel comfortable and secure in their homes. We are extremely proud of what we have achieved across South Lanarkshire and look forward to continuing our work into the New Year."
