Construction company AC Whyte has announced the successful completion of a key refurbishment project at the Lochview, Holyrood development in Edinburgh, delivered in partnership with the City of Edinburgh Council.
The £2.21 million contract involved essential building upgrades across two high-rise blocks. The work was completed on time, maintaining the construction programme through close collaboration with the client and key stakeholders.
Scope of Works
The multi-faceted construction programme was focused on enhancing building safety, performance, and durability. Key elements of the project included:
• Installation of new insulated flat roofs.
• Liquid-applied waterproofing works to walkways and drying room areas.
• Installation of lightning protection systems.
• Installation of fall protection Mansafe systems on the main roof areas to enhance maintenance safety.
• Incorporation of bird prevention measures as part of the overall works package.
