The CCG Group has started a new supply-and-fit window replacement programme with Shettleston Housing Association in Glasgow's east end. In total, 700 units will be installed across 91 homes, with completion targeted in time for the Christmas holidays.
Colette McKenna, Shettleston HA Director of Property Services, said: "This is a significant investment project for Shettleston HA and we're delighted to be working with CCG's Asset Management team, supporting local manufacture and delivery. The installation of these premium energy-efficient windows will have a really positive impact for our tenants, making homes more comfortable, keeping heat in and helping to reduce fuel costs."
The triple-glazed PVCu windows are CCG's own products, manufactured at the company's advanced facility in Cambuslang, less than two miles from the homes where they are being fitted.
Each unit uses a PVCu profile from REHAU UK accredited to the Secured by Design standard. Designed for durability and resistance to weathering and rot, the windows are expected to reduce maintenance needs and costs, aiding the association's long-term maintenance plans.
For future servicing, the REHAU Window.ID QR code feature enables components to be scanned and digitally recorded to improve repair efficiency.
A-rated energy performance and modern ironmongery will enhance thermal efficiency and improve tenant security. The profile also incorporates recycled content, with 40% to 75% recycled material in more than 40% of REHAU profiles, supporting the Scottish Government's net zero objectives.
The supply-and-fit contract was directly awarded to CCG via Scotland Excel and will be delivered by CCG Asset Management, the firm's dedicated planned maintenance division.
Jim Cunningham, CCG Asset Management Manager, said: "We are delighted to be working with Shettleston Housing Association once again. By being in such proximity to the association and their tenants, we will be able to offer a truly local and responsive customer service, while the window products themselves will deliver on both quality and design."
Samsara McDonald, REHAU Commercial Sales Manager, added: "CCG is a well-established partner of REHAU in Scotland, and we take great pleasure in supporting them on such a significant project for Shettleston Housing Association. The installation of new energy-efficient windows will help tenants feel warm and safe inside their homes this Christmas, while the use of our cutting-edge Window.ID digital identification system will help streamline repairs for years to come."
