McTaggart Construction has announced it has achieved official accreditation as a Living Wage employer, a recognition the company is celebrating during Living Wage Week.

This accreditation confirms the firm's dedication to ensuring all members of its team earn a wage that reflects the actual cost of everyday expenses, thereby providing fair compensation that exceeds the government minimum wage.

Janice Russell, Managing Director at McTaggart Construction, commented that the team members are the "foundation of our success," adding that the accreditation reflects the company's commitment to valuing their contribution and supporting their wellbeing.

The real Living Wage is a rate calculated independently based on the cost of living. McTaggart Construction joins a growing network of over 16,000 employers across the UK who voluntarily pay this rate, including more than 4,000 employers in Scotland.

Lynn Anderson, Living Wage Scotland Manager, welcomed the construction firm to the network, stating: "Their commitment sends a powerful message – that fair pay leads to a happier, healthier and more motivated workforce."
