EHC To Address Net Zero Challenges At SELECT Meeting

Working together to help support Scotland's transition to Net Zero will be among the important topics discussed at a membership meeting of SELECT, the trade association for the electrical contracting industry in Scotland.

The Electric Heating Company (EHC) is to host the association's Lanarkshire branch meeting at its head office in Blantyre on Tuesday, 7 October, where key voices from Scotland's electrical contracting sector will come together for an evening of discussion, collaboration and insight.

SELECT delivers training courses to more than 3,500 electricians each year and is a not-for-profit organisation, with all income invested in services for Members.

It's the first time EHC has staged such a gathering, the event reflecting the firm's ongoing commitment to industry collaboration and its support for SELECT's mission to promote technical excellence, safety and sustainability in electrical contracting.

EHC's sales manager for Scotland, Garry Cowan, will be hosting the event on the night and he said: "We're delighted to welcome SELECT members to EHC for the first time.

"This meeting is a chance to strengthen relationships, share ideas, and explore how we can work together to support the transition to Net Zero through high-quality electric heating solutions.

"There is a lack of knowledge out there which we are trying to address. Everyone thinks Net Zero is all about air source heat pumps but we want to broaden people's horizons and open their eyes to other solutions."

Currently celebrating its 125th anniversary, SELECT is based at the Bush Estate in Midlothian and with over 1250 member firms and 15,000 contractors, it plays a vital role in raising standards, supporting businesses and driving innovation across the industry.

Members attending will also have the opportunity to engage directly with EHC's leadership team, explore partnership opportunities, and learn more about the company's expanding commercial and residential product ranges.

The event, which starts at 6.30pm at EHC's Scottish headquarters at Blantyre Industrial Estate, is the first of five SELECT branch meetings to be held throughout Scotland next week.
