Cruden Homes has submitted a planning application for a major residential development on Broad Street, Denny, in Falkirk.

The proposed development will deliver 224 high-quality, energy-efficient new homes, providing much-needed housing and supporting the region's wider vision for sustainable growth.

The 13.9-hectare site, which is situated alongside the River Carron, has been carefully masterplanned by EMA Architecture + Design to integrate with the surrounding landscape and community. It is allocated for mixed-use development within the Falkirk Local Development Plan 2. The homes will be a diverse mix of detached, semi-detached, terraced houses, and flats, ranging between one and five bedrooms, and will include 34 affordable homes.

Fraser Lynes, Managing Director of Cruden Homes, said the company was "delighted to submit this nationally significant proposal." He added that with a "real emphasis on placemaking, sustainability, and input from the local community," the development will meet local needs and align with Falkirk Council's ambitions for growth.

The planning application follows a comprehensive pre-application consultation process, and pending planning approval, Cruden Homes expects to commence work on site in 2026.
