Scottish Assets Included In Major Marine Equipment Auction

Marine civil engineering contractor Ashleigh Contracts has appointed Wilsons Auctions to manage the sale of over 200 items of marine and coastal engineering equipment and construction machinery this September.

The auction will include a wide range of heavy plant and machinery located across the UK and Ireland.

The catalogue features a variety of equipment, including excavators, HGVs, dumpers, and dozers. Among the notable lots are two Hitachi EX1200 machines: an EX1200 Long Reach and an EX1200 XXL. The Long Reach is a 125-tonne excavator with a 28m reach, while the XXL is a 210-tonne heavy lift excavator capable of lifting 20 tonnes at its full 23m reach.

The auction is a "retirement auction" for Ashleigh Contracts, placing well-maintained, high-quality assets back on the market with no reserve. The event will be managed by Wilsons Auctions, the UK and Ireland’s largest independent auction company.

Plant, Machinery and Commercial Manager at Wilsons Auctions, Richard McFetridge, said it was an "absolute honour" to orchestrate the auction and that it is an "excellent opportunity for bidders to secure premium machinery."

The auction will take place on Friday, 19 September, at 11am. While a physical auction will be held in Belfast, live online bidding will also be available. Viewing for assets in Glasgow and other locations will be strictly by appointment only.
