The first phase of a former army headquarters in Edinburgh has been completely sold out, marking a major milestone in the site's transformation.
Craigiehall Meadows, previously known as Craigiehall Barracks, is now home to a thriving new community just over a year after work began to redevelop 78 long-abandoned houses.
The first phase, known as Hillside Road, saw 26 homes sold for a combined value of £7.185 million, with the development now home to 53 people. Ralph Sayer, the estate agency managing the sales, said that demand for the homes had gone "far beyond what we imagined."
The company is now focused on the second phase, which launched in May and introduces two new streets, Riverside Road and Primrose Drive. These new phases will offer 35 homes, ranging from four to five-bedroom properties, with prices starting from £550,000.
