With just two weeks to go, businesses across Scotland are preparing for the eighth annual Meet the Buyer North event, which will take place on Wednesday, 10 September, at The Music Hall in Aberdeen. The free networking event, supported by the Scottish Government, Scotland Excel, and Commercial and Procurement Shared Services, is designed to connect suppliers with key public and private sector buyers from across the North of Scotland.
The Supplier Development Programme (SDP), which is hosting the event, has provided a guide for businesses to make the most of their visit, including advice on preparing a verbal introduction, researching buyers in advance, and having questions ready. The guide also encourages attendees to network with other suppliers, as they could be their "next customer."
This year's event will feature an app to help attendees exchange contact details and a "Fast Track" entry system to reduce queues for those who register before Wednesday, 3 September. The event is designed for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises, but businesses of all sizes are welcome to attend. Attendees can also take advantage of free training sessions, including a "Quick Quotes" workshop.
