Arc-Tech has announced that eight developments it has supported have reached the finals of this year's Herald Property Awards for Scotland.

The projects, which are located across the country, have secured a total of 18 nominations across five categories.

Among the finalists are three developments that feature purpose-built, zero-emissions district heating systems, which form part of an operational net zero carbon energy strategy. These include Western Villages in north Edinburgh, which with 444 homes is the country's largest ‘net zero ready' residential development, and Granton Station View (75 homes), another pioneering project of mixed-tenure affordable homes. A third project, Clydebank East (88 homes), is the first and largest of its kind in West Dunbartonshire.

Various developments in Glasgow were also nominated, including 78 low-carbon homes for sale in Dundashill. Other sites in Govan and the West End have been recognised for their adoption of solar PV panels and sprinklers, installed by Arc-Tech's in-house divisions.

Arc-Tech extended congratulations to Main Contractor, CCG (Scotland), with whom it worked on all the nominated developments. The Herald Property Awards are unique as every nominated property and development is visited in person by two members of the judging panel.
