The Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) has today launched its new Training Provider Network (TPN), a single network of approved, quality-assured training providers across England, Scotland, and Wales.

The new initiative is designed to transform how construction training is delivered by fostering collaboration between training providers, employers, and CITB.

To become a member, training providers must deliver training relevant to the construction industry and meet specific quality assurance criteria. Members will be able to connect directly with employers through initiatives like Employer Networks, supporting business growth and creating better work placements for new entrants.

The TPN will enable a more integrated approach, allowing the industry to forecast training needs with greater accuracy and deliver training that truly meets employers’ requirements. Members will also receive direct support from a team of dedicated relationship managers.

Deb Madden, Executive Director, Nations Engagement at CITB, said that training providers are "vital partners in driving necessary change," and the TPN will create a platform for them to have a "stronger voice in shaping the future of construction training." She added that the network will provide employers with "a trusted pathway to quality training exactly when and where it's needed." The development of the TPN aligns with CITB's strategic priorities to improve training and development and retain existing workers.
