Work has begun on a new, state-of-the-art care home in Clarkston, East Renfrewshire.
The new 50-bedroom facility, named 'Greenbank Luxury Suites,' is being developed on the former grounds of Greenbank Church. The land sale has allowed the church to support a major renovation of its parish buildings and build a new community facility.
This is the latest project in a partnership that has already delivered six care homes and created more than 350 beds since 2017. 'Greenbank' is one of four projects currently under construction, with others progressing in Penicuik, Perth, Linlithgow and Glasgow.
Each care home developed through the partnership supports around 100 jobs across construction and operation. The new facilities offer a wide range of amenities for residents, including private en-suite bedrooms, a cinema room, a hair salon, and a champagne bar.
Paul Sokhi, Managing Director of Morrison Community Care Group, said the project will not only provide a "much-needed care facility" but will also enable the church to "redevelop and continue serving the local area."
David Wylie, Managing Director of CCG (Scotland), added that the partnership continues to set a benchmark for delivering modern, energy-efficient care homes across Scotland.
