Roger Davis, an Associate with DM Hall, one of Scotland's largest independent Chartered Surveyors, has been shortlisted for the prestigious 2025 RICS Matrics Surveyor Awards.
Mr Davis, from the firm's North East Residential Team based in Aberdeen, is a contender for the coveted Valuation Surveyor of the Year category.
A graduate of Reading University, Roger carries out extensive residential valuation work for a diverse range of local and national clients. He has also played a key role in mentoring and supporting graduate trainees through the MRICS pathway, demonstrating his commitment to the profession's future.
The RICS Matrics Surveyor Awards celebrate the achievements of young and emerging surveying professionals, highlighting excellence across land, real estate, construction, and infrastructure. The winners will be announced at a gala ceremony at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London in November.
Roger expressed his honour at the nomination: "It is a great honour to be listed among the hopefuls in this most important award, which focuses on the impact of early career professionals across the sector. I feel that I am in very exalted company." He also praised DM Hall for fostering his career development and upholding high professional standards.
John McHugh, Managing Partner at DM Hall, lauded Roger's accomplishment. "This recognition of Roger's skill, dedication and commitment is richly deserved and the whole team wishes him well in November," Mr McHugh said. He further highlighted Roger's professionalism, mentorship of colleagues, and active promotion of the surveying profession in schools, as well as his efforts in organising a charity quiz night.
The RICS Matrics Surveyor Awards not only celebrate individual achievements but also aim to elevate personal and organisational profiles, inspire peers and future talent, and strengthen the surveying community.
