AC Whyte, the specialist energy efficiency contractor, has been awarded a £2.69 million contract extension with East Ayrshire Council.
This significant extension will see the continuation of vital energy efficiency enhancements as part of the Council's flagship retrofit programme in Shortlees, Kilmarnock.
The new phase of works is scheduled to begin in July 2025, with an anticipated completion date of February 2026. The agreement also includes the potential for a further extension beyond this period, contingent on successful delivery and ongoing client priorities.
This continued partnership reflects the strong collaborative relationship developed between AC Whyte and East Ayrshire Council, as well as the positive engagement fostered between on-site teams and residents.
Resident feedback from previous phases of the programme highlights high levels of satisfaction:
• 100% of residents felt well informed throughout the works.
• 100% stated that a member of the AC Whyte team "went the extra mile".
• 93% were satisfied with the quality of the work.
One resident commented: "Excellent work from start to finish. The team worked so hard throughout. The site team were extremely friendly and nothing was a bother for them. I’d recommend AC Whyte without a second thought."
