The JR Group, a prominent Scottish building and construction firm, has commenced site investigations to advance its vision for a new high-end residential development in Causewayhead, Stirling.
The proposed project aims to create an exceptional collection of 124 apartments for both private sale and rent, nestled within the scenic Stirlingshire countryside.
The development site, located off Ladyneuk Road at the foot of Abbey Craig and overlooked by the Wallace Monument, is already designated for residential use in the Stirling Local Development Plan. It boasts stunning views and is situated within a picturesque bend of the River Forth. The award-winning builder is currently in discussions with key partners to bring forward plans for what is envisioned as a thoughtfully designed, tranquil community, harmonising with its natural surroundings.
Current proposals feature a curated selection of one- and two-bedroom apartments, arranged around a central courtyard. This design aims to provide residents with a serene space to enjoy the stunning backdrop and extensive greenery.
Andrew Dallas, Projects Director at The JR Group, commented: "Causewayhead has it all – a beautifully situated location offering the perfect blend of city convenience and semi-rural charm. Its close proximity to the vibrant village of Bridge of Allan adds to its appeal." He added that the firm has collaborated with Mosaic Architects and Clyde Design Partnerships to shape initial plans for a "bespoke collection of high-end apartments that complement this remarkable setting overlooking the River Forth."
Site investigations will continue throughout the summer, informing the next phase of the planning process. A planning application is expected to be submitted to Stirling Council this autumn.
