CCG Group Completes Final Phase Of 3-Year Window Replacement Programme

CCG Group has announced the successful completion of the final phase of a three-year window replacement programme undertaken in Leith, Edinburgh, for long-standing partner Harbour Homes.

Harbour Homes has collaborated with the CCG Group on various new build residential developments and planned maintenance workstreams in north Edinburgh over the past decade. This most recent phase involved the installation of 464 window sets across 97 addresses, completed over an 11-week period.

The windows installed are CCG’s own 'Total 70 Tilt and Turn' profiles, developed in partnership with REHAU UK. Fabricated from an advanced manufacturing hub at CCG's headquarters in Cambuslang, these windows are primarily made from PVCu, known for its lifespan of up to 40 years and resistance to weathering and rot. Notably, 75% of the windows' composition is derived from recycled materials, contributing to an A+ rated energy performance.

The installation work was carried out by CCG Asset Management, the group's in-house planned maintenance division. The division undertakes an intensive pre-evaluation process for every property and provides dedicated liaison services to residents during the installation process, aiming for minimal disruption.

A Harbour Homes spokesperson commented on the project: "We’re working closely with CCG on window upgrades across our housing stock. This project is being delivered to a good standard, with high levels of satisfaction being reported by our tenants. We’re looking forward to seeing these works through to completion."

Jim Cunningham, CCG Asset Management Manager, said: "Our team will always strive to undertake our window replacement contracts diligently and efficiently with minimal impact on the lives of residents. This is made easier via a strict pre-start process and the ability to install our own product range, offering clients like Harbour Homes a single chain of responsibility and service."

He added: "Harbour Homes have always been a much-valued client to the CCG Group. We wish to thank them for their support during the course of this contract, and look forward to returning to Leith again later in the summer."
