CCG Completes Window Upgrade For Partick Housing Association

Construction News Image
CCG has successfully completed the supply and installation of 327 PVCu window sets for Partick Housing Association, benefiting 47 residences in Glasgow's west end.

The 9-week programme saw the installation of new, high-performing Tilt and Turn windows designed to provide improved thermal performance (A+ energy rating) and enhanced security for tenants.

Partick Housing Association is also expected to see reduced maintenance costs due to the material composition of the windows. PVCu, a thermoplastic, is resistant to weathering and rot, contributing to the association's long-term stock improvement plans.

Stewart MacKenzie, Chief Executive of Partick HA, commented on the successful completion: "Our tenants are delighted with their new windows. CCG has done a great job in working with us to deliver this window replacement programme, on time and within budget. We are continuing to invest in improving our properties, providing warm and comfortable homes for our tenants across Glasgow's West End."

CCG's in-house Manufacturing division produces the PVCu 'Total70' window profiles, supplied by REHAU UK. These windows are fully assembled, including glazing, ironmongery, and paintwork, at CCG's advanced manufacturing facility in Cambuslang before being installed on-site by their planned maintenance division, 'Asset Management'.

Jim Cunnigham, CCG Management Manager, highlighted the benefits of their integrated service: "The advantages brought by using our PVCu windows speak volumes. They are durable, stylish, and fully Secure By Design Accredited, but the installation process is as equally fundamental to a successful contract, and this is where CCG excels through our complete supply and installation service. From the pre-start property evaluation process to the day-to-day management and engagement with tenants, we pride ourselves on being as efficient as possible while maintaining quality standards. This approach was paramount during the cold spells our team faced during the winter period, but they performed diligently, and we thank Partick HA (and their tenants) for their support during the programme."

The Partick HA contract was secured through the Scotland Excel framework.
