Western Villages, Scotland's largest 'net zero ready' residential development located in Edinburgh, has been announced as a finalist in this year's Unlock Net Zero Awards.
The awards, which take place alongside Housing 2025, aim to "celebrate positive climate action from both an individual and organisational perspective, complete with categories to celebrate the success and collaboration of individuals, teams, partnerships, projects and organisations."
Western Villages is a key element of the £1.5 billion Granton Waterfront Regeneration and is being delivered through a strategic partnership between The City of Edinburgh Council and CCG (Scotland).
The 444-home development has been recognised by Unlock Net Zero for the collaborative approach adopted by the project's partners throughout its delivery. This collaborative spirit has also earned the project nominations in the 'Collaboration of the Year (Partnership)' and 'New Build Development of the Year (North and Scotland)' categories.
