Ogilvie Construction has completed the 30 Semple Street development, Edinburgh's newest Grade A office building.
Developed by Corran Properties for CBRE Investment Management, the project delivers 57,000 sq ft of high-quality, modern workspace.
The redevelopment prioritiSed sustainability by retaining the building's original frame, preventing 3,300 tons of CO2 emissions—over 50% of the carbon that would have been used in a full reconstruction. The building features clean heating, abundant natural light, operable windows, and amenities like cycling facilities, EV charging, changing areas, and premium showers.
The eight-story building includes two new levels and a rooftop terrace with panoramic views. It features cutting-edge energy-efficient systems and a focus on well-being.
30 Semple Street is the first BREEAM 'Outstanding' design-stage, NABERS and AIR Score 'Platinum' accredited office building in Scotland and is designed to meet the UK Green Buildings Council Net Zero Carbon Buildings Framework definition.
