Registrations are now open for SkillBuild, the UK's largest and longest-running multi-trade skills competition, delivered by the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB).
The competition provides a platform for apprentices and trainees to showcase their skills across a range of construction trades, including bricklaying, carpentry, drylining, and joinery.
"SkillBuild is a fantastic opportunity for the UK's trainee construction talent to showcase their skills, whilst also learning new ones as they immerse themselves in the competition," said Richard Bullock, Head of Careers Products at CITB.
"Each year at CITB, we look forward to seeing what the UK's construction talent has in store for us at SkillBuild," he added.
Regional Qualifiers will be held across the UK from April to July, with the highest-scoring competitors progressing to the SkillBuild National Final.
With the construction industry facing a significant skills shortage, SkillBuild plays a crucial role in showcasing the diverse range of career opportunities available within the sector.
"With CITB's Construction Skills Network (CSN) report forecasting a need for over 250,000 new construction workers by 2028, SkillBuild is more important than ever to spotlight the industry and the wide array of roles available within it," said Bullock.
Tutors and employers can now enter apprentices and learners for the competition.
