BEAR Scotland is to carry out essential road marking and stud improvements on the A9 single carriageway between Newtonmore and Kincraig.
The work will complete a project that began last summer, aiming to remove and replace all white lines and road studs across 16km of the A9 between the Crubenmore Duals and Kincraig Duals.
Work is scheduled to begin on Monday, 13 January, and is expected to be completed by the morning of Saturday, 1 February. The improvements will take place during overnight hours, from 7pm to 6am, with no work scheduled for Saturday or Sunday nights.
To ensure safety for both workers and drivers, a convoy system with two-way traffic lights will be in operation on the northbound single carriageway during working hours. Junctions within the project area will be controlled manually by operatives or with additional traffic lights to manage traffic joining the A9.
Access for emergency services will be maintained throughout the duration of the works.
