SSE Welcomes Clean Power Action Plan

SSE has welcomed the UK Government's new Clean Power Action Plan, which aims to unlock £40 billion of investment in clean energy.

Alistair Phillips-Davies, CEO of SSE, said: "To deliver a cleaner, more secure power system for Britain we urgently need to get building clean energy infrastructure on an unprecedented scale."

However, Phillips-Davies stressed the need for a bolder approach to remove barriers to development and support key technologies.

SSE is committed to investing in clean energy infrastructure, with over £20 billion invested in projects such as the world's largest offshore wind farm. The company is ready to invest further to support the UK's climate goals.
