Procast Group, a leading principal contractor, has acquired Glasgow-based building surveying and cost consultancy firm JC+P Property and Construction Consultants in a six-figure deal.
The acquisition aims to strengthen both businesses and facilitate future growth. JC+P's six-strong team will relocate to Procast Group's Hamilton headquarters in early 2025.
Gordon Ross, a long-standing member of JC+P, has been appointed Managing Director and will join the Procast Group board. This acquisition marks the eighth business division for Procast Group, alongside Procast Building Contractors, Procast Energy Services, Procast Property Services, Brimar Electrical Solutions, Thermsaver Heating Solutions, CHES, and Curtis Heating.
Both companies are actively seeking to expand their teams, with JC+P hiring quantity surveyors and building surveyors. The strategic partnership will enable both businesses to leverage their expertise, collaborate on projects, and pursue new opportunities together.
Derek Innes, Owner and Managing Director of Procast Group, said: "As we look to continue our growth, and expand further, the addition of JC+P to the Procast family is a huge boost.
"Particularly focusing on our work in retrofitting, the expertise we'll gain from JC+P will be crucial in delivering more properties, including harder to treat ones, with improved design and build capabilities.
"We'll be helping to train and invest in its staff, most of whom are long serving, which was a huge selling point for me.
"This is a huge asset to our business and will really elevate our offering to our clients. We're happy to have Gordon and his team on board and we can't wait to start our journey together."
Gordon Ross, Managing Director of JC+P, said: "We are delighted to be joining Procast Group and are looking forward to growing and working together in the new year and beyond.
"Derek, and the team at Procast have built an award-winning business with a highly respected reputation for both delivery of projects and investing and developing the people within their organisation; this ethos and approach is something which we share.
"We are excited to become part of the Procast Group and being able to enhance the range of services the group can offer."
