Dundee City Council is set to invest over £1 million to upgrade the lighting systems in nearly 100 flats in Menzieshill.
The proposed works, which are expected to begin in spring 2025, will involve replacing outdated internal and external lighting systems in 92 blocks of flats in Yarrow Terrace and Tweed Crescent.
The council's in-house construction services division will carry out the project, which aims to enhance the safety and security of residents.
Kevin Cordell, committee convener said: "The lighting on these blocks has come to the end of its useful life and replacing it will help to maintain the safety and security of the people who live in them."
