BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking emergency works on the A828 between Ledaig and Benderloch to address a safety concern related to a deteriorating rock face. Recent monitoring has identified a fractured rock mass 60 metres above the road, requiring urgent attention.
To mitigate the risk of rockfall, engineers will implement protective measures to safeguard the road and nearby infrastructure. This will involve stabilising the rock face and potentially installing safety barriers or netting.
The works are necessary to ensure the ongoing safety of road users and prevent potential disruption to traffic flow in the future. BEAR Scotland will provide updates on the progress of the works and any potential impacts on traffic.
