Balfour Beatty, the contractor responsible for the A9 Dualling: Tomatin to Moy project, is organising a series of ‘Meet the Contractor’ events in November. These events will provide local residents with an opportunity to learn about the upcoming construction works, which are scheduled to begin in Spring 2025.
Attendees will have the chance to meet with key project team members, ask questions, and learn about the benefits the project will bring to the local community. The event in Tomatin will also feature a family-friendly afternoon and evening session with interactive activities and refreshments.
Senior representatives from Balfour Beatty, Mott Macdonald, Transport Scotland, and AtkinsRéalis Joint Venture will be present to provide information and answer questions.
Details of the events are as follows:
• UHI House, Raigmore – Thursday 14 November, 8am – 8pm
• Strathdearn Community Hub, Tomatin – Tuesday 19 November, 8am – 8pm
• Online event
Parking at Raigmore will be provided and the family friendly afternoon and refreshments as part of the Tomatin event will start from 3.15pm.
David Taylor, Project Manager at Balfour Beatty said: "'Meet the Contractor' events are an essential part of our commitment to keeping local communities informed and engaged as we begin preparatory works on the A9 Dualling: Tomatin to Moy project.
"We look forward to welcoming residents for a unique opportunity to speak directly with our project team, understand the scope of the work, and learn about the safety measures and traffic management plans we will have in place to keep the travelling public safe throughout construction."
Balfour Beatty will provide regular updates as the project progresses. Sign up for digital updates.
