JLL's Glasgow office has achieved WELL Platinum status, the highest level of certification awarded by the International Well Building Institute (IWBI) for healthy and sustainable workplaces.
Located on the top floor of the Sentinel building on Waterloo Street, the office was recognised for its exceptional environmental, wellbeing, and technology features. Built with sustainable materials like FSC-sourced timber and recycled elements, the space has significantly reduced its carbon footprint and achieved zero waste to landfill status.
Beyond its environmental credentials, JLL's Glasgow office has also been lauded for its social value. The company has supported local charities and hosted construction workshops focused on mental health.
Designed with employee wellbeing and productivity in mind, the office features a roof garden, ample daylight, biophilic elements, and excellent air quality. JLL's in-house teams, including Office Agency, Project & Development Services, and Tetris, collaborated to deliver this sustainable and innovative workspace.
The WELL Platinum certification is a testament to JLL's commitment to creating healthy and sustainable work environments for its employees and the community.
Niall Robertson, Director for Building Consultancy at JLL, said: "Making buildings more environmentally and socially sustainable is crucial to our future wellbeing. But it's also on organisations like JLL, with the means and knowledge at our disposal, to lead the charge.
"We've done that from the outset in Glasgow. Achieving WELL Platinum accreditation is a fantastic accolade for everyone involved in this project, and we are committed to using our expertise to help our clients make their own spaces more sustainable, inclusive and productive."
