VolkerRail has been awarded its first contract in Scotland to deliver £150 million worth of works on behalf of Scotland's Railway.

It's part of the new Scotland Civils Framework (SCF) – an agreement between Network Rail and contractors to deliver up to £1.3bn of work.

That will include buildings, civils, structures, earthworks, drainage, renewals and enhancement projects across the country.

Network Rail has also awarded Lots to the following contractors:

• Lot A – minor civils up to £150m to Taziker Industrial

• Lot B – buildings and civils up to £730m to AmcoGiffen and STORY

• Lot C – geotechnical and minor civils up to £420m to QTS

Each of the contracts are for five years, with a three-year extension option based on performance.
