Riverside has appointed Paul Dolan as the Group's new Chief Executive.
Paul's appointment follows the announcement last September that Carol Matthews, current Chief Executive of Riverside, will be retiring this year.
Paul was appointed following a rigorous competitive process, clearly demonstrating his commitment to Riverside's values and dedication to delivering the excellent customer service that all residents should expect. Paul joins The Riverside Group from Accent Group Ltd. where he has been Chief Executive since 2017, gaining experience in leading operational, cultural and governance transformation following a series of mergers. Prior to Accent, Paul was Chief Executive of Johnnie Johnson Housing Trust, a housing association with a significant number of homes for older people, experience which complements Riverside’s extensive care and support work.
Paul also brings a significant amount of sector experience, working to shape policy with the Government, the Regulator, and other sector-interest groups.
Terrie Alafat CBE Group Chair of Riverside said: "I'm delighted to confirm Paul’s appointment. Paul was the stand-out candidate in a strong field and will bring a wealth of experience to Riverside, a passion for social housing, and a dedication to customer service. As one of the largest housing associations in the country, Riverside plays an integral role in helping shape the sector’s approach and voice. I know that given Paul’s qualities, he will continue to lead that work."
Paul said: "I am honoured to step into the role of CEO at Riverside and excited to join such a highly regarded organisation.
"Under Carol's guidance, Riverside has achieved significant milestones, and I am fortunate to inherit an organisation formed on such strong foundations. I look forward to building upon Carol’s legacy, embracing the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
"As I step into this new role, my commitment is to uphold the strong values and principles that have made Riverside a respected provider in the housing sector. By working alongside Riverside’s board and committees, colleagues, customers, and partners, I am eager to leverage our collective expertise to continue delivering great services and creating thriving communities as we work together to address the evolving needs of our residents."
