BEAR Scotland has announced a programme of improvement works for the A7 Langholm to Selkirk route.
The project will see Transport Scotland's operating company, BEAR Scotland, make improvements to the standard of road markings and road studs on the A7, creating smoother and safer journeys for motorists.
The outstanding works to the road markings and studs improvements on the A7 are scheduled for a total of four nights, from Tuesday 31 October to Friday 3 November.
To ensure the safety of roadworkers as well as the travelling public, the A7 will be closed at specific sections over the duration of the works, detailed in the table below. The works are provisionally proposed for construction from Tuesday 31 October to Friday 3 November, between the hours of 19:30 and 06:00 each night.
BEAR Scotland's South East Network Manager Tommy Deans said: "Emergency services will be given access through the works at all times and local access for residents within the closure points will be maintained when it is safe to pass through the work area."
