Stirling Council has renewed a call for residents, community groups and businesses to "have their say" on the future development of the region and inform a new Local Development Plan to guide future developments across the Council area once adopted.

The public feedback will also inform a new Local Transport Strategy (LTS), a blueprint for how the Council will improve all aspects of transport and access across Stirling.

Stirling Council Leader, Cllr Chris Kane said: "Time is running out to have your say in these online surveys that will be vital to ensuring our new Local Development Plan meets the needs of everyone who lives and works in the Stirling area.

"From building new homes, roads, schools, parks, to protecting our natural environment and supporting business space and sustainable economic growth, a Local Development Plan affects us all.

"It is guiding major developments across Stirling at the moment, including the creation of 3,000 new homes as part of the Durieshill project between Bannockburn and Plean – the largest detailed planning application for housing to ever be approved in Scotland.

"If you care about how your community and the Stirling area looks in the future, then please get involved in our surveys before the deadline of 26 October."
