Argyll Heritage Project Awarded National Lottery Funding

Argyll's St Conan's Kirk has been awarded almost £94,000 from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, as part of a UK wide heritage investment.

The National Lottery Heritage Fund has awarded a total of £12.2 million to secure the future of 12 historic properties across the UK, from Argyll and Cardiff to Belfast and Lowestoft.

Chief Executive of The National Lottery Heritage Fund, Eilish McGuinness, said: "Saving heritage is core to what we do, and we look forward to seeing these fantastic projects improving the condition and understanding of the important heritage they guard, reducing the amount of 'heritage at risk', and delivering transformational projects for communities across the UK."

In Argyll, the development funding will be used to finalise plans for the creation of a new community hub.
