Pat Munro has announced a major expansion of its operations in Moray, with the successful acquisition of quarries at Spey Bay, Elgin, Buckie and Keith.

Currently one of the largest independent suppliers of aggregates and ready-mix concrete across the Highlands the new acquisitions will allow Pat Munro to expand their geographical reach and increase capabilities and product range to the construction, industrial, road surfacing and agricultural sectors.

Highlighting the opportunity for increasing local employment opportunities in the communities it operates in, Daniel Johns, Pat Munro Commercial Manager for Quarries & Waste said: "The recent acquisition of quarries across Moray will allow us to supply and deliver our core products of natural and crushed aggregates, sand, gabion stone, rock armour and ready-mix concrete to a wider geographical customer base as well as introduce new products including agricultural lime and a new range of decorative aggregates."
