Clackmannanshire Council has announced that the demolition of the Alloa Leisure Bowl is scheduled to begin on 27 March 2023.

The building has been closed to the public since March 2020.

The demolition work is expected to last until mid-summer and site security will be a priority throughout the works.


On completion, the site will be left with an ash or gravel level surface and will be marketed for future development.

The Council's ambitious plans for a new wellbeing hub are currently at the detailed design phase.

The hub will be built at The Pavilions, Alloa West, with on the ground construction expected to begin towards the end of 2024 with a completion date two years later.
